| A unique and very attractive item. The bone jewelry is hand painted
by Melaleuca Malie; he is a descendant of the Kamilaroi People. The
jewelry is hand crafted of recycled bone; they call it campfire bone.
(Whatever they had for dinner the night before and the dogs don't get)
It could be anything from kangaroo to water buffalo. There are 7 different
shapes: round, round with hole in middle, rectangle, cross section,
cylinder, boomerang, and crocodile tooth. The round shape comes as
a pendant or a bracelet. The cylinder shape represents the didgeridoo.
The paintings of animals represent the various tribal or clan totems.
The paintings of people show different aspects of aboriginal life. |
