Logrhythm Brain Massage 2 |
Brain Massage 2 takes the listener on a relaxing, joyful journey through a heartfelt blending of didgeridoo, synthesizer, guitar, vocals, throat singing and cat purring. It also features the Hang, a relatively new Swiss instrument fashioned after the steel drum. This CD is a source of beautiful and therapeutic musical vibrations. As with their first "Brain Massage" CD, and live performances on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado, the didgeridoos (and occasionally other sounds) are panned in motion to calm and clear the mind when listening with headphones. |

Vivid Curve Synesthesia |
Vivid Curve is a band that is truly like no other. In this, their first studio release, didgeridoo riddims are applied to every imaginable genre of music––from hip-hop to rock, blues to ballads. This neo-tribal jamrock powerhouse is at the forefront of the growing Pacific NW didgeridoo movement. Tony Sciola, Jeff Cooper (didgeridoo), Ronnie Lamb, and Chris Jhana as Vivid Curve bring together a wholly original musical combination, producing a sound that is both unclassifiable, and unforgettable. Tyler Spencer also plays didge on the final cut! |

Jeremy Donovan Walking with Spirit |
In Jeremy's own words, "Walking with Spirit is a CD inspired by the intimate relationship I had with my grandfather. This CD will give people the chance to journey deep into the Dreamtime, the realms where all our ancestors and great spirit guides watch down from. While recording this album I called upon all my spirit guides to help me create a CD that would support people on their own journey." The first track features several instruments along with didge, but the rest of the CD is purely solo didgeridoo with a relaxing, meditative quality that anyone would enjoy. |

Ondrej
Smeykal Didgeridoo Solo 2 |
The
most anticipated new CD to hit the didgeridoo scene
in many years! I'm writing this as I have my first listen
and I couldn't be more pleased. Ondrej has been playing
the didgeridoo for over ten years. His first CD wowed
the didge community, and this one's gonna create an
epic fan base for Ondrej. No one else plays didgeridoo
like this! And if this CD doesn't stagger your sonic
imagination then your probably dead. The four-fold cover
is a didgipack made from recycled paper with artwork
stone-printed by hand. Ondrej has also autographed each
copy we have in gold leaf ink. |

Rafael
Bejarano The Journey |
| This
sensational new CD offers a sonic environment to assist
your heart's journey with sacred harmonic chants and
ancient instruments. Didgeridoos, multi-chambered flutes,
percussion, Tibetan bells and crystal bowls provide
meditative, rhythmic, and energizing tone paintings.
"The Journey" is a synthesis of three years
of recordings made around the world with Australian,
Mexican, Hawaiian and American musicians, Tibetan monks
and sound healers, including Ash
Dargan on didgeridoos and Native American
flutes. Over 1 hour in length. Beautifully packaged.
Highly recommended. |

Jay
Atwood Bonfire Dreaming |
| Jay
Atwood has been a friend to L.A.Outback for many years,
and we are very excited to present his latest CD, "Bonfire
Dreaming". Jay has developed heaps of intoxicating
music for various projects in the past, and he currently
tours as the didgeridoo player for the band "Wicked
Tinkers". I've been listening to a preview CD of
"Bonfire Dreaming" for weeks now, and I highly
recommend these expanded, fourth world tribal spaces.
Mystical melodies summon ancient memories, and chilled-out
beats seduce us into a world both sacred and profane.

Trance
Mission Head Light |
This
sensational CD made its debut in 1996, and it's still
one of my personal favorites. Stephen Kent plays the
didgeridoo on several tracks, in his ever bewitching
way, but the joy of this album is in its heightened
awareness of how to play instruments from all over the
world together, and to do it brilliantly. The pure musicianship
of this ensemble blows me away. Sonically, think Cirque
du Soleil on hash performing inside a cavernous Turkish
hammam. Get the picture? If you don't own this CD, buy
it now! |

Ondrej
Smeykal Didgeridoo Solo |
Ondrej
Smeykal lives in the Czech Republic and has been playing
the didgeridoo for ten years with very little influence
from other players. Using long, massive sounding didgeridoos,
Ondrej will mesmerize you with new sounds and rhythmic
ideas. A mic is often placed near his nose as well as
the bell of the didge, showcasing his mastery of breath
control and melodic inhale horns (plus heaps of otherworldly
sounds). We haven't heard anyone play didgeridoo like
this before! The cover is a didgipack made from recycled
paper with artwork printed by hand, one by one, from
a stone slab. |

Jeremy
Donovan Yalanji |
Jeremy
Donovan embraces his Aboriginal descendance through
painting, storytelling, and performing with the didgeridoo.
"Yalanji" is his very popular CD, and he plays
straight from the heart with rhythms that sound more
like personal mantras than glitz. The ancient sound
of the Australian bush provides a natural background
for the Yigi Yigi (didgeridoo) as Jeremy stirs it up
beat by beat. The first track opens with the haunting
drone of a bullroarer, didgeridoo and distant tribal
chants, setting a perfect tone for the whole CD (you
can hear it in the sound file below). And when you visit
Australia, see Jeremy perform live at the Outback Centre
in Sydney's Darling Harbor! |

Kristian
Benton Yidaki Vibes |
Kristian's
hand crafted didgeridoos can be found on this site,
so you may already be familiar with his name. And just
like his didgeridoos, each track on this CD has something
new to offer... a change in tone color, for example,
or an unexpected rhythm that makes you want to get up
and dance. Kristian grew up in the town of Orange, which
is located in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. This
is Wiradjuri country, where he's a descendant of the
Ngambar mob at Brewarrina. He now lives in northern
New South Wales with his wife and new daughter. Kristian
expresses himself culturally through Aboriginal art
and making/playing didgeridoos. We think you'll enjoy
his first CD. |

Xavier
Rudd Good Spirit |
A
new, impeccably recorded live album with performances
taken from a hand full of sold out shows last August.
This CD features his brand new song and latest single,
"Messages", as well as songs from both "Solace"
and his debut release "To Let". Deeply inspired
by nature and our beautiful earth, Xavier had this to
say about Messages... "Messages written in hope
that all the special places on this beautiful earth
can be preserved for many years to come, so that our
kids, and our kids kids, and our kids kids kids, can
breath some similar air as to what we are so lucky to
breath." Find Xavier's tour dates on our Calendar
page. |

Ash
Dargan Stories of Wind |
Ash
Dargan is a descendant of the Larrikia Aboriginal tribe
in Australia's Northern Territory. "Stories of
Wind" is a musical dialogue between two of the
oldest wind instruments in the world, the Didgeridoo
and the Native American flute, both played by Ash. Enchanting
global grooves and soul-touching rhythms create a sonic
landscape of pulsing beats created with organic and
natural sounds from the wilds of Australia. Native-style
double and split scale harmony flutes, various mouth
percussion instruments and vocal singing also are featured.
This is an excellent follow-up to his previous title,
"Territory", also available here (see "More
Titles" below). |

Frank
Heinkel What Remains When Everything Goes |
An
evocative and emotionally complex new CD from Frank
Heinkel (YidakiFrank). Aside from the stellar didgeridoo
rhythms, including a duet with Tyler Spencer, Frank
opens his sonic heart with breathtaking Tuvan throat
singing and Gyoto monk-like chants. The 12 tracks are
arranged to take you on an inward journey, keeping everything
in balance somehow. There's so much to share with you
about this CD that my MP3 blend of 5 separate tracks
is a bit longer than usual, but worth the download.
The CD comes in a handsome didgipack with understated
graphics and poetic liner notes. Just beautiful. Much
love back to you, Frank. |

Michael
Jackson Behind the Mike |
Solo
tracks for didgeridoo and the Didjeribone (a trombone-like
didgeridoo). Michael is well known for his collaborative
efforts with the Australian bands "Axis" and
"Didgeridoo Dingo". This is his first solo
didgeridoo CD and it rips! Have a listen to the MP3
sound file below. Keep in mind that Michael's rhythms
are not looped electronically. He's one of only a very
few players in the world who can sustain such intense,
whip-snapping tongued and diaphragmatic rhythms like
these. And to cool things down a bit, his layered overtone
compositions for the Didjeribone evoke the mellow sonics
of classical french horn. Big yes! |

well crafted sonic impressions of whales, crickets and
